This week we are posting Khalafs work. He is a 17 year old Yazidi boy living in a refugee camp in Iraq. These two published stories are very strong and about the extreme choices Yazidies have been forced to make. It is our duty to share these stories. If they have been forced to this I must at least listen to their stories and share them with the world.

He needs a new camera and a laptop to edit videos. If you can be of assistance. Let us know. Khalafs dream is to become a journalist. Let's support him to reach his dreams.

Yesterday I got some great videos from Khalaf, a Yazidi living in a refugee camp in Iraq. He has been there past three years.

"I am not yet 17, yet this is my life. I wish to be a journalist" he says in this article he written:

He has everything it takes to become a journalist. What he is lacking is a shoot in decent livinghood. He also needs functioning technology.  Camera and a laptop. Last one was broken.

We will post some of his great videos about the human life in the camp he is living. We love them ❤.

They risk their lives just to get their children to school.  From this Teachers 4 Refugees was born. That is why we are doing this.  We  simply love what we do. Stay still tuned.

We are working hard behind the scenes which means networking and partnerships in order to get our work to the next level.  Martin from the Solidarity App got the opportunity to pitch their work in Techfugees Summit in Paris last week.  We are happy Teachers 4 Refugees was part of the pitch too.  Thank you, Martin. It is a  pleasure working with you and Solidarity App.

Eid al-Adha is a religious celebration for all Muslims. His idea comes from the fact that all Muslims should go to pilgrimage in Mecca. To be Muslims as one body. Muslims in this feast do a lot of good deeds. Such as sacrifice, family communication and helping the poor. Where families gather and spend enjoyable times with each other. As for me, I was very happy when I came to Finland. This is the second Eid al-Adha, and I am in the deep melancholy. I am confused by feelings of happiness and pain of separation. Since I came from Iraq I have not seen many of my friends and relatives. But when I distribute sweets to children, which is one of the traditions that accompany Eidal-Adha, I remember the atmosphere that I used to do. One of the things that Muslims demand from God is that security and security prevail all over  the world. They call on God to destroy terrorism and all those who contribute to the killing of innocents. We usually smile and smile during Eid al-Adha and try to bring plea...

Yesterday I  got a Whatsapp message  from Grace  with photos  of  the  letter  sent  already  in April. Our  hope  was that  she could  use  them  in the summer school  she got scholarship to in Switzerland. Now  she  can  use them  in other occasions while  tutoring. We  all  were  feeling happiness  even  in  three  different  countries. This is what I wanna  call  globalisation - doing  good  over  the  borders.

Grace  said  that  her  business  cards  are  beautiful and that  she  now a full international worker. I said  to  her  that to  be that  she  does not need cards. She is Amazing Grace.

We are still working on a volunteer basis with everything we do. Later this month we are starting a fundraiser and we are going give the details also here.

Our Greek team member Panos decided he wants to start learning Swedish and he has been working really hard on this one. It will help a lot in our work than more than me alone can Swedish. We still want our team to be multicultural and want to find the right people for the right tasks.

Whatsapp suits great to tutoring and language teachings. We have been working on the basics and I have been challenged to think about grammar issues. Den. Det. Denna. På och Av.

Here is a photo of his post it collection or a part of it. How have we studied before without post-its :)

Enjoy June. Stay tuned.
